LPG Gas — Cylinder Complaint
Indane is the LPG brand of IndianOil Corporation Limited (IOCL), one of India's three government-owned LPG distributors. Common complaints include cylinders delivered underweight (less than 14.2 kg for a standard cylinder), no delivery after booking, PAHAL or DBTL subsidy not credited to the bank account, distributor misconduct and safety concerns.
To file a complaint, call the toll-free number 1800-2333-555 which is available from 8am to 8pm. You can also send an SMS with your complaint details to 7718955555, or email feedback@iocl.co.in with your LPG Consumer Number, distributor name and code and the nature of the complaint. Online registration is available at indane.co.in under Customer Service.
For PAHAL subsidy issues, ensure your Aadhaar number is correctly linked to your Bharat Gas Consumer Number through your distributor. The subsidy is credited directly to the bank account registered with your LPG account.
If the Indane helpline does not resolve your complaint, escalate via CPGRAMS at pgportal.gov.in by selecting the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. You can also contact the National Consumer Helpline at 1915. For a cylinder that appears underweight, you can ask the delivery person to re-weigh it in your presence before accepting it.
